Further Training for BT People on the Undertakings
A major programme of communications, training and engagement was launched across BT in December 2005 to ensure that all our people are aware of the Undertakings and understand how they affect the way they work and make decisions.
For engineers in Openreach, BT Wholesale and BT Northern Ireland, many of whom are field-based and find it difficult to take training online, a bespoke telephone training package was launched in February. Since it's launch 30,080 people (as at 28/06/06) across BT have completed this training.
In addition, a DVD version of the BT Wholesale Undertakings roadshows has been developed for Managers and Team Members in the business in order to encourage further understanding of the Undertakings. As of 12 June, 1500 of these DVDs and discussion packs have been distributed throughout BT Wholesale. The DVDs are accompanied by a discussion pack designed to bring many of the Undertakings, and how people need to make decisions and behave to be compliant, to life.
